Severe pelvic pain…???

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was suddenly struck with severe pain in my pelvic region - it basically hurts in my pelvis, hips and lower back area whenever I put weight on my right leg. It struck out of nowhere, I started running for the bus (a light jog) and on my first step felt a jolt of pain.

Curiously, the pain is worse on the left side of my pelvis/hips. It is a kind of sharp, shooting pain, that I only feel in certain positions - i.e particularly when I stand on my right leg.

I am really worried that it's something internal - to do with my ovaries or something (although I literally had an external and internal scan last week for unrelated period irregularity and they came back clear.)

I play a lot of sport and go to the gym a lot - could this be a nerve/muscle thing? It has eased off slightly since yesterday, but I was pretty alarmed when I woke up and it still hurt to stand.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?? Any advice would really help me not spiral into panic about this.
