I've had an eye issue that has been really bugging me now for some reason. I cant remember when exactly it started but its been months atleast. I think around the time of my last vision checkup.
I will get a white splotch or spot, in my vision, not like a flashing light, just a white-ish area, for just a split second going left to right, in my left eye, about as low as it can possibly be in the eye, like its just on the peripheral vision on the bottom.
It only seems to happen either right after waking, or if I am in a dark room looking at a tv screen or computer. No more than a twice a day, usually once a day or less it happens. I dont remember ever seeing it during the day more than 5 minutes after waking up or in a well lit room.
I do have vitrous gel floaters, as they run in my family, and I feel like that is the most likely explanation for this, but of course anxiety doesnt allow that to be the rational thought.
