Oh dear... I can't believe I'm back here again, but I would never have imagined seeing blood in my urine. And I'm losing my mind.
A couple of weeks ago, I woke up to pee and my pee was pink. Just as many of you would have, I immediately freaked out and went down to the doctor the next day to get it checked out. They found that there was quite a bit of blood in it (1800 RBC and 4+ Occult), but no presence of micro-organisms. Immediately, I wanted to see a specialist. There was no pain (maybe a slight discomfort in my bladder area) and if it wasn't caused by an infection, what could it be caused by?
I was (slightly) relieved when I had a sore throat and high-fever later that day as I thought it was really a case of UTI. However, after the fever subsided, there was still blood in my pee (not as much as the first day, but my pee was noticeably orangy).
I finally managed to get to see a specialist last week and he prescribed me antibiotics for a week, even though the urine tests still tested negative for any infection... Then began a cycle of my pee clearing up and me getting hopeful and me seeing blood in it again. Currently, I'm on my final day of antibiotics and I'm still noticing dark/cloudy residue in it. It's been two weeks to the day I first noticed the blood.
I've been for urine tests before (just one last year) and have never noticed any irregularities or abnormalities. So this is definitely not something that has been long-standing.
Whatever the case, I'm scheduled to have a thorough ultrasound and another appointment with the specialist in another 2 weeks (as that's the earliest they could slot me in). I'm hoping that it's nothing. I'm praying that it'll clear by itself. Currently, I'm only in my mid-twenties, so I doubt it can be anything serious... Still, I can't stop my mind from wondering. I can't. I mean, if it's not an infection... what other reason could there be? Kidney stones? Random inflammation? AHHH!!!
(I am so scared of the possibility of having a camera put up my pee hole as well! Guy here.)
