View Full Version : Anxiety over tongue - struggling to keep it together

My husband has been a bit worried about his tongue for the last few months. He went to our local walk in clinic and saw a nurse who told him she knew what the danger signs were and would tell him if she saw something to worry about...She said it was dry mouth. A few weeks ago he went back to a chemist to get the same thing checked and was told it was dry mouth as well.

The thing is, he's a smoker and I know what he's worried about. He's been angry and irritable for weeks worrying about it and has just asked me to make him a doctor's appointment.

I feel like my health anxiety has rubbed off on him and he is not trusting what he has been told. But part of me is hitting panic mode and worrying about the worst.

We both should believe the advice that's been given, shouldn't we? I've made a doctor's appointment for peace of mind, but my mind is going straight to my personal demons - doctor=you know what= you know what.

I'm struggling to keep it together, as is my husband. Please help
