Hi guys,

My partner (30) today told me that she noticed a slightly tender lump in her arm pit along with a slight rash on the breast on the same side that is a bit sore. She has had this rash before, it looks like an allergic reaction to something, and it lasts a day or two then goes away. It happens maybe once a month or less - but she never mentioned any lump in the armpit before.

Anyway she has been to the GP who says she is sure that it isn't cancer but gave a variety of other suggestions that don't add up to me, although I am not an expert in this area. She said that there is no breast lump and that the lump in the armpit is a small lymph node that is slightly inflamed but doesn't feel suspicious.

Anyway I am freaking out because the GP didn't send her for a mammogram, she was so sure it was not cancer, but I struggle to let go with my HA.

Any women here with experience of this kind of thing and some words of wisdom?

If the doctor doesn’t deem it necessary then I would really try to calm yourself.

I would imagine that the doctor would of called for an ultrasound over a mammogram if they were concerned anyway. Doctors are very good at identifying worrying lumps after all!

I would imagine it’s likely just an inflamed node because of the reaction she’s experiencing.
