Changing from Sertraline to Mirtazapine.. desperate for this to work

Hi, after about 9 weeks on Sertraline and really bad side effects even on 50mg - constant nausea, dizziness, insomnia- today the clinical psychologist told me to wean off the Sertraline and begin to take Mirtazapine. I am desperate for something to work for me. Nothing else helps, I've been immobilised by depression for such a long time, my kids need me and I need some quality of life.

Hi Marra - Good luck with mirtazapine, you deserve it. Mirt should work quickly to help with sleep, and about two to four weeks for depression, if it is effective.
