Coincidence or sign from the universe

I am just a mess lately. So I've been getting over my obsessions relating to solipsism, however whenever something coincidental happens I freak out and make a connection falling back into my obsession. For example, I've been having a hard time with instrusive thoughts this week. I get on reddit and the first thing I see on the "popular" page is something about research being done on intrusive thoughts. Probably just a coincidence right? But in my mind right now everything is a sign of solipsism. What's happening to me? Am I truly going mad?

Confirmation bias. A little trick the brain does when it is on high alert, looks for the signs to confirm whatever it might be looking out for, so you ‘see’ more and more of it. Tomorrow, look for blue cars, you will see them everywhere.
