good resources for children?

Hiya All,

Does anyone know of any good resources to help deal with mental health problems in children? by children I mean a 10 year old, can not divulge any more info as not my child but someone who has confided in me.

I know lots about adult mental health services but not so much about childrens.... any online links for good resources for the parent and the child would be brilliant please.

Local CAMHS resources are accessible through GP referral. (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Resources). The usual long waiting lists though.

I hope this helps. They are a full team of mental health specialists trained specifically to work with children and adolescents before transition to adult services (16-18)
