Hello

My little boy is 7 and very skinny.

Sometimes I notice that one of his collar bone ends, near his throat sticks out a bit.

Ive had a feel and they are not equal. One bone is more knobbly at the end than the other.

Arent collar bone ends supposed to be equal? Why on earth would one be more knobbly.

Very worried and scared especially after consulting my friend, Dr Google.

I'm also the same. I'm 19 and his collar bone sounds exactly like mine, on my left side it's flat down and ends just before the middle of my neck, but my right collar bone sticks out a lot, and is quite pointy. I'm no expert but if this is the first time seeing his collar bone difference and he's had it for all his life and it's not causing him any discomfort then I wouldn't worry about a thing.

It's nothing to worry about at all, you know how us women have one boob bigger than the other? It's the same thing for bones but we don't really notice, one of my ribs comes out a big more than the other etc.

Being a mother though you do worry about these little things, as long as it isn't painful and isn't causing him issues don't worry.

FACT: We're asymmetrical by nature.
