Hey there everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been lurking for quite some time and finally decided to join the community. In the past when I was in my teens I experienced very bad anxiety attacks. I would usually worry about my health, always jumping to the worst of conclusions and assuming that I had the deadliest Affliction that a person could possibly have. I used to be a regular patient with Doctor Google (lol), but then I finally learned from my mistakes and no longer frequent his office.
I still have some anxiety now and then, but nothing like back then. It used to be so bad that I couldn't sleep or that I wouldn't be able to function throughout the day without worrying myself to the point where I just couldn't enjoy life. Now after a few years I've learned how to manage and even though I do have my weak moments... I can usually push forward and see the Silver Lining at the end of the tunnel!
I will be posting now and then when I get anxious, knowing that nobody here can diagnose me and that they shouldn't... But I know that people will try to reassure me which is really kind of nice :). In return, I hope to be able to use my past experiences as well as my knowledge of anxiety to better help people and reassure them also. I look forward to getting to meet all of you in the coming months :).
