So my health anxiety has been pretty much under control for about a year now? But this weekend i came down with a bug - most likely a cold- and now I'm worried about getting Guillain-Barre Syndrome, because I can't do anything to prevent that. This panic has led to excessive googling and hyper focus on my legs, making me quite miserable. I'm aware that my risk of getting it is something in the region of 0.1%, but still, someone's gotta get it.
