At 2pm I have to go for my DLA appeal hearing!!!

I applied for DLA last June and thanks to a load of cock ups was not awarded it till April this year!!!:mad:

So tomorrow I have to go in front of a panel of people and convince them that I was disabled last June in the hope they will back date my award!!!

Im dreading it had the panics off and on all day:lac:


Please wish me luck and the ability to cope lol

Cant sleep tonight for worrying about tomm silly I know but I do feel like Im being called a liar!!!!

Wouldent mind but Ive worked all my flipping life and never claimed a penny from the state!!!

Im entitled to incapacity benefit but wont claim it cos I want to go out to work again!!!

To that end I have an interview with the disability employment advisor at the job centre on Friday:yesyes:

Well I got a phone call at 9.30 this morning asking if I could go in at 11.30 instead so I did!!!

They were very nice and guess what???

I WON!!!:yesyes:

They backdated my award to June last year:yesyes:

I am sooooo pleased and it goes to show if you are refused DLA its worth appealing against the decision!!! However I should point out that I applied because of a physical disability not my anx and panic!!! I believe tho it is often awarded for anx etc!

Hmm not sure Kaz, what sort of work have you done in the past and what do you enjoy doing? I think enjoying the work is half the battle really though. I have always been a scientist in one form or another but since having ME and being forced to stop that and try other things so I could go part time I have to say I've enjoyed jobs I never thought I'd like.
