New to the site need some answers

Just wanted to say hello and hope someone has dealt with some of the same issues as myself so that I might better understand how to cope. I am on prozac for 7 days and feel the depression may be lifiting a bit, but the anxiety (which i am allowed to take only 1mg of ativan a day) seems to be getting worse. I am extremely tired and have a hard time dragging myself out of the bed. Is this caused by the prozac or what?

Hi LatieBug,

Frequently you might feel more agitated or anxious when starting a new medication. When I started my lexapro, I felt a lot more anxious the first two weeks. It should hopefully settle down soon.
