Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

Hello,

I am suffering from dry mouth. It started as producing too much saliva, then I noticed that it would stop and do the opposite suddenly. Now it’s just dry. There was 3 weeks where it went back to normal. I thought I’d beaten It! All this started 5 weeks ago. The last 2 weeks I’ve had mucus in the back of my throat, and it’s worse after eating. I’ve also had chest pain the last 2 weeks. I didn’t use to suffer from anything. I am fit and healthy. Never smoked and don’t drink. My bloods came back normal. I have taken anti depressants for 5 years but only the lowest dose with no side effects. I took propecia but stopped that. Could it just be anxiety? It’s maddening.

Thanks.

Hi, I've excess throat mucus on and off for years, also periodic dry mouth.

I also have CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) which is an autoimmune condition. Sjogren's Syndrome also causes dry mouth and eyes.

Anxiety does make dryness issues worse for sure, especially dry mouth.
