Does anybody have any experience of JRA ? A 12 year old family member has been diagnosed & it is just awful to see the pain of her & her mum looking after her. She was a v athletic child & now can't even attend school.

How awful for you. I'm so sorry. I don't have any experience I'm afraid, though I did know a girl at school who had this. I know she had problems with pain but she got her medications sorted out and I know she's doing just fine and recently married. I'm sure with the right treatment your family member will be able to have good quality of life. Best of luck.

My cousin was diagnosed as a teen and she is now 35 and a RN. I know she goes in for steroid shots once every few months and is also on daily meds but she is able to be on her feet all day taking care of people and live a normal life. She will be just fine it will just take time to figure out meds and treatment!
