Getting medication somewhere else.

Does anyone know much about the process of getting medication somewhere else?
i'm going up country hopefully until next summer and I have enough of my inhalers to tide me over but I will run out of birth control at some point.
can I get like a temporary prescription card or something like that? I know it shouldn't be too hard as birth control is free but I was wondering if i'd be able to get it up there or if i'd have to stop taking it for a while :) x

I shouldn't think you'd have a problem at all. Have a chat with your surgery though - they'll give you instructions how to go about it so you don't have to stop med.

i'll get all my gp info and nhs number sorted and register temporarily at the surgery up there :)
