So I suffer with Panic disorder and anxiety.. recently I've had a cough and last night while sleeping, my heart raced and my pulse was 100 so I completely freaked out and rang an ambulance, they did tests and my heart rate hit 160. It finally went down to 90 and the paramedics said that's normal, and it's just anxiety.. I was convinced my heart was going to stop at one point, can a racing heart do this?
Now, I'm frightened it'll happen again because last night was possibly the worst attack I've ever had.
Does anybody know how to combat this? And how to calm a racing heart? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, also this was a different panic attack compared to my usual ones.
