Hello,
This is my first time here. I am 23/M, non alcoholic and non smoker. I am skinny and have had a bad diet for a while. I constipate a lot which made my bowels harder to pass (possible anal fissure) and also I have pilonidal sinus near my tail bone. Couple of weeks ago I started having these problems

1) Frequent Stomach burn especially worsens at night which keeps me awake all night

2) Stools started as greasy, green and then light greenish-yellow and now back to normal but bits float in water (never had clay or white stool)

3) Had pizza two days back and later stools was brown-yellow but mixed with some red bits in it.

4) Mild dizziness for few seconds If I turn my heads fast in either sides and restless at times

5) Occasional Skin itching and dry skin only in knuckles

6) Bad breadth especially at mornings

7) Was feeling hungry till couple of days but now lost appetite and nauseous always after meal

Neved had these symptoms before and this goes on for two weeks now. Took blood test, everything normal except ALT is increased by 1 and also done Full abdominal ultrasound and everything was clear. I don’t know whats going on in my body. Feeling like I am about to die. Help me please! Sorry for the long message.

What did the doctor tell you? You don't have tests like that without some kind of diagnosis.

After checking my blood and ultrasound Doctor said it could be a reflux disease like GERD but my symptoms suggest more I assume after reading some blogs in google

That's interesting. When reading your post, I don't think it's anything sinister at all by the way, especially with your normal blood tests and scan. There are particular (very treatable, non life threatening) infections that share a lot of your symptoms. Particularly with your travel history, the first thing that sprung to mind was Giardiasis. I suppose that could cause a slight elevation in your ALT too. I've been studying a lot about parasites lately so I may be biased.

Sorry for not mentioning it....I had these problems even while I was in US ...I just arrived last week and had gone to check my GI. But I do drink tap waters in my house in US

Believe the doctor or not but all your symptoms are consistent with GERD. Look into the FODMAP (https://www.ibsdiets.org/fodmap-diet/fodmap-food-list/) diet, try an OTC PPI like Zantac and keep a log of what aggravates your stomach.

I'd say, based on your symptoms it sounds like an infection which is slightly raising your ALT levels. I really wouldn't worry though, your tests have ruled out anything sinister, particularly the ultrasound.
I would say, go back to the GP and ask for a CRP test. This detects any inflammation present and will be able to determine whether some form of infection is present and thus, if antibiotics are required.

I'm not a doctor, I'm studying medicine and I'm a huge hypochondriac.

I know what you've done with those symptoms on Google. For example, the itching you get with some liver conditions is not just occasional itching. It is so bad you need ice baths just to function and can't sleep at all. The breath thing you've looked up is not just a bit of morning breath. I could unpick every symptom you've listed, but can you see what you've done there because of good ol' Google? I totally understand, but just saying.

I'm living with cirrhosis, but I'm a 44 year old recovering alcoholic. There's just no way that you have it. Not even the tiniest possibility. Could be GERD, could be what the other poster said, but trust your doctor or start working away on why you don't.

I had an ultrasound on my gut area to see if there was something wrong with my gallbladder and was told my gallbladder and everything was fine, 2 days later get a call from my Dr saying theres some unusual texturing on my liver, he claims its a fatty liver but im being referred to a gastro specialist, to lose weight and exercise but my head has gone into over drive thinking its cirrhosis or cancer, i barely drink but classed as obese with my BMI, i am beyond petrified, why would he refer me if it wasnt serious? My liver bloods were fine but been told to book in for more, ive seen people have liver disease and normal bloods so thats no good, im eating next to nothing because im scared im going to mess it up more, need to get back into Drs to go over my ultrasound because i really dont understand whats going on and how bad things are, im so fed up its unreal, hope youre okay x
