Re: the UK teacher sueing for losing his job.

At first glance it seemed harsh but since then it has emerged he was not quite the Snow White he portrayed himself to be.

He wasn't under investigation for that issue alone, there had been complaints he was pushing his Christian beliefs in the classroom. Given he's a maths teacher, there is no reason for it. He argues the school makes his position untenable yet he is a teacher, not a preacher. A teacher follows a syllabus, there is no need to bring in additional areas they want to discuss to influence their students.

This guy is being supported by the anti-gay religious lobby. They appeared on a TV interview with him where he continued to refer to the student as "her". This upset the interviewers but to fair, this is not in the classroom and it is understandable that if his beliefs mean he can't call her a him, I can understand his use of the term in this interview (but not in the classroom or in contact with the child in question).

I find myself wondering about the kind of person who takes this issue into a wider debate and all along there is an innocent child, who faces a very difficult time in dealing with their changes as well as outside attitudes towards him, suffering for it.

This guy just wants to bang the drum for the Christian groups who are fighting against homosexuality, trangenderism, etc. The woman with this teacher in the interview even brought homosexuality into it which doesn't seem relevant to me.

Some very selective media reporting has gone on with this guy. It has taken that interview to out him as well as some statements he made about what he was really doing in his lessons.

I'm not sure he should be sacked for it, but then hasn't he resigned on principle? But he should be disciplined. If he wants to bang the religious drum in school, teach in a faith school.

Schools and colleges in modern Britain are nothing more than Marxist indoctrination camps.

Teach toddlers about transgender issues, National Union of Teachers say

Teachers noted that there are currently a “lack of policies which promote LGBT+ within schools” which they said can have a “significant negative impact” on the well-being of students and teachers in this group.

Teachers are usually too busy to veer away from the syllabus in favour of pushing their beliefs. Any teacher I've ever known has been swamped and can't wait to get their feet up.

Sixth form may differ. Uni obviously will due to all the groups they get involved with and the diversity of courses (and their add ons).

Transgenderism is a very complicated issue. We need to be diverse enough to welcome those going through it and respect their choices but not veer too far into pushing it onto others if their beliefs differ.

Teachers these days are typical left leaning. That's perhaps for the best to allow for diversity. Centrist too. But not too far to the left or right as it all goes wrong.
