Weight gain

I know Lyrica causes weight gain so my question is

Does it add weight all the time?

Or

Does it add a bit of weight at the start and that’s it for the
duration?

Hi, I've been on pregabalin for about 6 months now and i noticed a sharp increase in weight very quickly. Appetites went through the roof, craving cakes and things at strange times.
The medication itself has worked really well for me, 300mg twice a day, but my weight is getting me down.
I think its different for everybody as some people seem to have no effects while others gain weight.
For me its like a kind of bloating, as if its water retention or something.
My weight is still steadily creeping up but that's due to me falling into the trap of giving in to the hunger temptation, eating rubbish, feeling bad about it and then eating more to cheer myself up 😁😁.
Haven't weighed myself as part of me has been kidding myself on im not getting bigger, avoiding looking in mirrors and stuff.
Decided im going to take up a bit of jogging a couple of times a week and see if it helps, and hopefully i can put a leash on my appetite or just eat healthier.
Apart from that though its been a great medication, best of luck.
