I was in a bathroom where I took of my watch for a shower and the watch feel into the basket of used toilet paper. So I put my watch in hot boiling water. But now I am unsure - does it helpe to put it in hot water or is it useless. Should I throw my watch away not to get a bacterial infection? I am upset and angry it happened. Such unfortunate bad luck

And free of exposure to e-coli bacterias right?

It doesn't matter if it is free of exposure to e-coli. E-Coli bacteria can't survive in the air on hard surfaces. If you are worried, don't wear the watch for a a few days, any bacteria that might have been picked up and survived the armageddon that was the boiling water will be dead.

Also, don't boil your watches.

Thanks. But my watch is quite water proofed. It has followed me in swimming pools, lakes and oceans for years.

It will be fine, PK. People soil clothing and wash it rather than throw it away. Parents would be buying a lot more clothes for little kids if not!

Soem anti bacterial spray & wiping would probably have been enough.

Can you get this in Norway?

I promise I do not work for Dettol. I use it everywhere when the kids have sick flu though (promise I don't ACTUALLY spray the kiddos).

Maybe. But I am abroad at the moment; that is why there was a basket of TP next to the toilet, and no flushing of paper in the toilet. But thanks for the info anyway.

Can you wipe it down with a Clorox wipe?? Or spray it with disinfectant?
