hi iv just been given new diagnosis and only just started this new medication today topiramate,they are giving me it as a mood stabiliser and wondering if anybody has any experience with this medication wether for same reason as me or other reasons? I know it can be used for a variety of conditions

It’s other name is topamax. Commonly nicknamed dopamax. I know somebody who used to be on it. It is usually prescribed for epilepsy.

yes I know its main use is for fits but was looking for anybody who has experience or knowledge of use as mood stabaliser or what its like to be on long term?
