21st of December 2017 I get flu like symptoms and I'm in bed for like 2 and a half days. Get better just before Christmas. I remain slightly under the weather til around 5th of January with green phlegm in my nose and a cough that took ages to go. My heart rate however has remained near enough constantly 100+ it's usually around 80 on a normal day. I'm not exactly active but when I do light exercise it goes to around 130. I don't get any other symptoms really.. been coughing up a little white phlegm but that seems to have stopped. I suffer anxiety and agoraphobia, but I haven't been stressed or anxious apart from wondering why my heart rate is so high for so long.. hard to get to a doctor, but has anyone ever been ill and had the high heart linger for weeks after??

WOrrying about your heart rate being high will keep it high. My advice is to stop checking it. You wouldn’t know what your heart rate is if you wasn’t constantly checking. I been there before with the constant checking of my heart rate and when I stopped checking I was finally at peace.

My heart rate fluctuates constantly, likely due to the anxiety. It can be anywhere between 60 and 120 but these days it's rarely under 90.

I had an echo done for an unrelated issue 2 years ago and my heart is structurally normal. I'm unfit and overweight so I imagine its all stress and fitness related.

If i'm ill my heart is constantly over 100 for weeks then it goes back down to 90 and below.

I get skipped beats - it's really scary but I saw a specialist and he said the majority of health hearts do crazy things! Breathing too shallowly can cause it. And anxiety definitely makes it worse!

My heart rate usually jumps by about 15-20bpm when I'm ill. The inactivity caused by being ill, also makes my heart spike a lot when I DO start moving about again afterwards too. Walking to the car is enough to push me up to 120bpm for example.

Best thing you can do is keep doing the activity and walking around a bit so that your cardiovascular system gets used to it again. The heart rate won't do you any harm at all.

I think heartbeat fluctuation needs proper workout planning.
