Sciatica switching sides

So my mum pretty much said my pain is more than likely sciatica. Booked a doctors appointment for next week to see what they say. The pain has been on the left side for months but now it’s on my right. And it’s freaking me out! Please tell me it’s normal!

Yes, it can be.

I've had sciatica and my dad has had bouts for years. His was much worse than mine. What can happen is that you compensate by putting more strain on muscles & joints on the less painful side and that ends up causing aches & pains.

Just like having a bad knee and changing how you walk onto the other side.
