Ive had severe health anxiety since june 2017 when I thought i found a breast lump, I also had a lump in my tesicle I kept quiet stupidly for 6 years! So i assumed thats it ive got 2 lumps im dying. 6 months later and severly stressed i quit my job and finally went doctors. Got the all clear but had tingling in my right arm from when i found the breast lump (assuming anxiety)

Doctor mentioned a possible MRI before xmas or nerve test for the tingling, i freaked out and felt a tingle in my nose, googled that... possible MS sign and since i have got worse. My feet feel like they’re burning now and then, ive got slightly shakey hands and muscle twitching. I was literally FINE until be mentioned an MRI. He thinks im fine as all bloods are perfect but hes refered me to neurologist. Every moment im awake im thinking what if?

I had MS fear a couple of years ago because I was having really bad tingles in my face, hands, lips, arms, legs... I worked myself up so much my legs felt like they were on fire every night. It felt hugely dramatic - so much so I was convinced it must be something horrible wrong with me. Like you I fixated on MS after unwise Googling.

A GP will send you to a neurologist because if it's neurological it's specialist stuff. When I saw them the neuro they did some physical tests and told me they didn't expect it to be anything dodgy, but sent me for nerve conduction tests and MRI as a precaution.

In the end the outcome was anxiety and possibly a slight B12 deficiency.

Tingles are a very common anxiety symptom, and MS is very rare. You've already said you're so stressed you've given up work, so no real need to look for sinister reasons for anxiety symptoms.

Once I had "permission" to stop worrying about them they went away, I still get them when I'm stressed but because I know they're nothing to worry about they come and go because I'm not fixated or afraid if them.
