So I just got my blood taken today for the first time (it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be) but now I'm stuck waiting for the results and my anxiety is running wild. Since they're trying to determine the cause of night sweats I'm now pretty convinced I'm gonna get a call back telling me I have leukaemia. Apparently I should be getting my results on Thursday which thankfully isn't too long but I still don't know how I'm going to deal with the wait. Any advice?

I have had some blood tests that take a month for the results.

You just have to get on with life and not think about it.

What will be will be - I can't change the results and nor can you.

If you have had routine full blood count then believe me if anything is seriously amiss your surgery will be phoning you very quickly. I know as i used to work at a gp surgery. If you hear nothing before thursday then its extremely unlikely anything really drastic has been found. When you get your results ask exactly what tests were done as they tend to say all is normal but it can be helpful to know what!
