I decided totake half a senna tablet last night and today ive done nothingbut go to the toilet i didnt know that half a tablet could cause so much cramps and running to the loo,as i have ibs c,i am not sipping water and had half a slice of toast,really dont know where to put myself .

Bless you, yeah with IBS things can be pretty extreme can't they.
Keep sipping water, maybe try an icepop or a lolly. Just keep hydrated and take some buscopan or paracetomol if your cramps become too painful. Feel better soon xxx

Senna is really harsh. You've got to be very careful with laxatives with ibs-c because too much can really push you the other way. It's never easy getting the right dosage/ I hope things settle soon.

Hi thankyou for your replies i've been ĺeft with a lot of wind now but i dont think i'll be going near senna again.I am not a fruit person but decided to get some grapes and keep them handy to eat one or two ....
