Someone the same age as me (25) died in December because of a cardiac arrest.. it’s triggered my anxiety and I’m back in the endless loop of worrying and researching and worrying even more..

Anyone gone through this and have tips to get through it? I’ve got two young children and when I go through and anxious stage it’s debilitating, like I don’t feel like looking after myself or anything and I don’t want to feel this way 😩

Is this someone you know or someone you read about?

Either way it's a very rare thing. The fact it's happened to someone somewhere doesn't change that.

worrying and researching

I say this to a lot of people but don't credit the frantic, anxiety-fuelled Googling we do with the word "research". Research suggests a systematic and unbiased search for truth, and it's not. Your anxiety dragon is in control and finding things to scare you.

Stop Googling first and foremost. Sit on your hands if you have to. If you can't shake the fear consider some professional help.

So unfortunate that the symptoms of panic and cardiac issues are the same. But don't search it. You're fueling the fire. My friend actually blocked me from being able to search anything about heart attacks. Look into that!
