Ibs stops me doing lots

Does anyone IBS keep them away from doing things they used to love? I fear going out somewhere far incase I need to run home for the toilet, I don’t want to go out on dates incase it becomes to embarrassing and the popping, gurgling, wind sounds make the guy run a million miles. I’ve become depressed and envious of a lot of people who can eat lots and lots and be fine. I wanna know where it all went wrong......:(((

With regards to the dating, I used to think 'how will I ever be in a relationship when I'm in this state' but I met my husband and he's really supportive so it can happen!
