Hello!

I have a bit of a problem right now...
Since 11 pm last night I've had a headache, a throbbing/pulsing one.
It got really bad around 1 am, so I took a painkiller and went to bed.
On/off pain, woke up around 6, googled aneurysm and brain tumor symptoms for about an hour, then went back to sleep.
I still have a headache, but on a scale from 1 to 10, it's 1 now, so not a big deal.
BUT
I am desperately trying not to google stuff about terminal illnesses and brain hemorrhage, and I am so scared of those things.

Did any of you have such a long headache?
It's only in that one spot on the left side of my head.
Just pulsing...
Also, it can increase if I laugh...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit
I should mention that I have a massive health anxiety, as well as generalized anxiety and loads of stress in life right now, so I don't know if that changes anything.

Many, many headaches are down to one simple thing: tension. My migraines are brought on by that very thing.

LOTS of things can cause you to be tense enough to have a headache, be it a bad headache or a long-lasting one. Stress is a big one. Sleeping funny or holding your head in an odd position. Grinding teeth (which goes back to stress).

An aneurysm would be far more painful than a "1" on the pain scale, and most brain tumors actually don't present with a headache as the first/only/most noticeable symptom anyway.

You have a run of the mill headache. Keep on the pain killers. Sometimes caffeine can help as well. A good nap in a dark room.

Feel better. :)

Many thanks for your reply
I feel it gets worse if I strain to talk or laugh, so it must be some sort of a neck/face tension...
It's 1-2 now, 2 being after I laugh...
And I do grind my teeth at night, all the time, for years now.

Hi I've had constant headaches since March 2016 I'm under a headache specialist in Liverpool. He told me there are at least 300 headache conditions. He things I'm suffering with cluster headaches which is the most unbearable pain known. Like u I worry about anyerasum as my mother had one. I wouldn't worry too much if it gets bad and carrys on asked to be referred to headache specialist

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that :(

For me, headaches aren't that frequent, and I usually have them really low, at the back of the head, typical tension ones.
But this one is high up, almost on the top of my head, on the left side, that's why it scares me so much.

How dangerous are Exertion Headaches?
I've just been reading about them and it seems somewhat similar to my problem, only my pain is brought on by talking/laughing.

I took my blood pressure, as best as I could on my own, and it's 120 (or 130, not sure) over 80, so I don't think that is high enough to cause a whole day's worth of headache...

The headache increases in intensity if I talk, especially loudly, or when I shake my head (as in the 'no' gesture).

I think I'm slowly losing my mind just because of the fear.
