Earlier today, my body temperature was 98.1. I did it a few hours ago, and it was 97.6. Just now, it was 97.2. I'm really nervous about this! is this normal? what should I do? I'm not underweight or anything like that!

Now it says 98.8! bodies are weird, or it could be a bad thermometer. And of course, the anxiety feels like an overreaction now.  thanks for your help!

Please stop self testing, you're opening the door and begging anxiety to come in.

Body temperature fluctuates through the whole day, my friend, it usually gets lower early in the morning and late at night, and reaches it's higher level during the day or in the afternoon. That's normal, don't worry about it.

so normal!! Mine some times is only 35 which is 95, I never worry unless it's going higher over the 'normal' - my dr said as long as you you're not ill a low temp is nothing to worry about.

So my low temp and feeling unwell could be something then? :scared15: My feet and hands are cold too.

last time I dared check my own temp it was hovering between 35.5 and 36c, my thermometer might be crap though, but it said I had a fever of 39c when all my problems started.

Normal Body Temp ranges from 97 to 99 degrees, and not the 98.6 like everyone thinks, so if it's 97 you're normal. Now if it was say 69 then worry or if it got to 100.4 means you are running a low grade fever. Also don't take your temp for five mins after eating or drinking it can raise or lower your temp as well.

Oh I know it can fluctuate, but when it's at about 35-36c and I've got the chills it freaked me out. (Could be the thermometer not being very good too) :scared15: It's probably just my body trying to get rid of whatever has been attacking me though. :yesyes:
