Hi all!
I might be overreacting, I'm taking Nystatin for oral thrush.
I've been coughing and my voice is croaky... could I have aspiration pneumonia!?

Going to Dr's tomorrow so will ask but I'm really paranoid...

I've had oral thrush before, due to dry mouth and it can make you cough! Seems people with autoimmune conditions are more prone to getting thrush in various places in their body. I really liked the Nystatin, tastes yummy :)

Oral thrush can mean a sore throat. This can make you cough.

Aspiration pneumonia seems highly unlikely. I've had pneumonia years ago and it's not pleasant, I think it's unlikely you would be going to the doctors to ask about it and more likely calling for help because you were unwell if that were the case. If affects your breathing and pain occurs.

I had thrush multiple times during my treatment. I agree WiseMonkey, Nystatin tastes pretty good for medicine :)

And yes Tan, you're overreacting.
