Has anyone else ever noticed an adverse reaction to alcohol when their anxiety is high? Since I've been extra stressed these past few months... every time I've had a drink, it's knocked me out. I feel drunker, I have a panic attack, and I just sleep, I don't wake up through the night like I normally do, I just sleep for hours and normally don't remember going to bed, it's like I've been drugged...then I'm normally dizzy and don't pee much the day after...I used to fine with alcohol, just wondered what everyone else's experiences are? Having a few drinks with a friend (I go to their house) once or twice a week is all I have to look forward to at the moment and it's looking like even that is doing me no good at the moment. I only like the taste of Vodka, so that's all I drink...so it's quite harsh anyway. I don't like wine or beer or anything like that....

Please read the below post from Admin. You are posting about a lot of different things frequently. Perhaps start a thread where you can keep all of your worries in one place.

Can posters, especially those who are posting a lot about a variety of fears please confine their posts to one thread.

This helps others to build up a clear picture of what is happening and makes it easier to offer suitable advice.

You may not see the pattern but usually it is there, especially if you are posting frequently about different things.

Due to technical problems it is proving difficult to merge posts so for the moment any posts that we feel should be on a previous thread will be closed, allowing you the opportunity to re-post on your existing thread.

Your co-operation with this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I really noticed this over the summer, I got drunk on just one glass of wine when I was super anxious.

It's weird isn't it? Maybe the tiredness and mental exhaustion just makes it so that we're knocked out more easily...

Hi

This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your issue.

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.
