Can a mri head show up blood vessels if there was an problem worried as my mum had an avm that burst.

ive had a recent mri of the head which has come bk normal people are telling me this scan wouldn't shown up a condition my mum had an avm its your blood vessels. really scared cos ive had headaches now for almost two years. Under a nero dr he says I'm getting cluster headaches

Well, I don't know the answer to your question, as I'm not a neuro consultant - but I know a man who is - your neuro consultant. If you have this specific concern, why not ask him directly ?

Went to see specialist yesterday asked the question he said I had a scan back in 2016 with dye to look at blood vessels he said normally your born with it. Am struggling with pain at the moment

These heads are still getting me so down my specialist done nothing on Monday feel let down. Thought he may of tried a preventative can’t live in this sort of pain
