Hi all

I had my first attack about 4 years ago when I was 58. After medical tests no physical problems were found. After a few weeks the attacks stopped.

On Saturday this week I felt unwell with pumping heart and high blood pressure.

Sunday was a little better and I slept well last night.

This morning at work I felt unwell again, hot sweaty, with racing heart. Every thing around me felt distant and unreal and then bang the panic attack started. I managed to control it with my breathing and it has now subsided.

Clearly they can occur at any time. Because of the experience 4 years ago this time I recognized the symptoms so I guess ready for it. None the less still damn uncomfortable.

Cheers Ed :yesyes:

I agree. I've never had a panic attack that actually felt comfortable. It isn't meant to make us feel comfortable. I'm sorry that you had a relapse after so long. It's really easy to get back into the panic cycle once you have one. I guess the important thing to remember, which usually helps me is that my body can't have a heart attack all day long, multiple times a day... lol.

I hope you feel better.
