View Full Version : Panic attack over fear of DVT in leg
Hello all... i’m currently in the middle of a panic attack...
So i have what feels like a pulled muscle in my calf... i have a bruise on my calf also.
If i flex my foot towards my body, the calf muscle feels like its tigtening
No redness, no heat, no swelling
But i am so worried i have a blood clot...
The pain isnt even there when i’m just laying down or sitting still, its only if i move or walk. The pain isn’t bad, but does feel like a pulled muscle
But i’ve been told thats what a DVT can feel like even if it has no other symptoms and now i’m terrified thats what i’ve got!! :(
Can anyone help calm me down...
I have a protein s deficiency which means I have to super watch out for clots.
Do you have any reason? Sitting alot? (like I mean ALOT)
Smoke?
Deficiency?
Previous blood clots?
Super over weight?
My doctor told me if the pain goes away when you elevate your leg it's likely not a clot.

i went out for the day on friday to cardiff and was walking pretty much all day. The following few days i’ve been achy but only just felt this pulled muscle feeling today
I do not smoke
Have no deficiancies (had routine blood tests a couple weeks ago and all came back good)
No previous clots and no family history of clots
But yes i am overweight which i’m trying to sort out
And i do sit around alot but i do make sure to move and walk around every hour or two. I never just sit for hours without a break
And the pain is not noticeable when elevated or when sitting still
No redness, no heat, no swelling
No blood clot IMO

Well try and get some help for the HA please.
Believe me, i’ve tried. Doctors always make me feel like what i’m experiencing isn’t real for me. As much as the things i think are wrong with me aren’t real - the HA is. Would just be nice if one of them listened instead of making me feel like it doesn’t matter.
A little update:
My leg is feeling so much better today, still a slight pain if i REALLY stretch it, and still a teeny bit achy. so obviously was a muscle issue as most of the pain has gone.
I have made a doctors appointment to discuss potential help for my health Anxiety, even though i’m so anxious about doctors not listening, i’m going to give that another go.
Really appreciate this forum
You could always show your doctor your threads. It certainly illustrates your HA.
