View Full Version : Yes, I managed it

If you have read my other posts you know that I have had a couple of weeks where my anxiety has returned after months of being ok. I have thought about going back to medication but dont really want to if I can. The other day I forced myself to take the bus into town which I did although it was frightening. Today I was in school helping out when all of a sudden I could feel panic rising, no reasoning behind it - is there ever . it was like the person I was talking to was echoing, I could feel the anxiety flashing through my body etc, I thought I know what this is no need to take notice dont be scared, and sure enough within seconds the feelings had gone. I shocked my self and was left feeling a bit shaken that I could actually take control. I am of course now worrying about the next time it may happen but just needed to tell someone of what I have achieved today.

Good job, there Jan A. You must of had a brief Panic Attack there, but what a great performance for controlling it so quickly and believing it was just panic. Remember to think how well you controlled it, and staying positive about this so you don't worry about it as much the next time.

Let's give her an applause. :yesyes:

Jane!

WELL DONE! :yesyes::yesyes::yesyes:

You should be feeling very chuffed with yourself - we all are!

I remember the first time I took control - it felt weird, almost like I'd done something wrong lol !!

But the next time, if there is a next time, you'll take control again and feel stronger.

We all believe in you :flowers:

Jane

Well done on controlling it. Try to remember that next time as you proved that you can control it when you try hard.

Great news to read.

Well done, that's what they say you should do but it's not easy. I've only managed it a couple of times, both times the panic fizzled out in no time. PA's don't seem that big a deal then. Just a pity I can't do it all of the time.
