Quick overview

Im 60 , reasonably healthy, do not smoke, drink only occasionally, mainly vegetarian diet, no family history if heart disease. My died had a stroke at 87 but all other grandparents lived to the 90's or 100's. My mu is 95 and lives with us

Went for blood test as I haven't had one for many years and the results are below

serum total cholesterol - 6.4 mmol/L **
serum triglycerides - 1.4 mmol/L
serum HDL Cholesterol - 1.55 mmol/L
Non-HDL Cholesterol - 4.9 mmol/L **
serum cholesterol/HDL ratio - 4.1

..should I be worried ?

if so what can I do to reduce the bad cholesterol

thanks

Didn't the doctor suggest anything? I don't actually know what the numbers mean though :)

Hi

We can't read blood tests results I am afraid. You need to ask the doctor.

Do you suffer with anxiety as well then?
