Floral foam carcinogen?

After seeing some online videos of people playing with floral foam I decided to buy some and give it a go (it’s just so satisfying!) I had my fun, cleaned up and washed my hands before seeing a post about floral foam being extremely dangerous and carcinogenic. I’m now terrified I’m going to have made myself ill! I’d only seen it once before when I was young, so I haven’t had repeated exposure but im scared something will happen. Anyone happen to be a florist? Aha, any advice would be appreciated :)
