Hello everyone... I am suffering of GAD for over 3 years now and even though I have made some progress, there is still one thing I can't fight yet.

I work as a security guard , which means unstable working hours and weird sleeping schedule.
Even though I Love my job and I do it well, every time before I start my shift I get major panic and light headedness...
I don't get it, it comes without reason and it usually goes away 1 hour after I go to work...
But it happens everyday and it's really frustrating and exhausting....

What do you think I should do ? I love my job and I don't want to find another one, I don't think it would change anything anyway...

I can completely relate. I feel a great deal of anxiety before going to work even though, just like you, I like my job and I do it well. The fact that your anxiety goes away once you've settled in at work tells you that it's not work that's causing it. It's just anticipatory anxiety that you're dealing with here.
The thing is, your mind has learnt to panic and be afraid before you go to work, and now you need to unlearn it. Try doing something different before work, try and derail the panic, distract yourself, do something fun.

In the meantime, try and stay focused on all the positive things your job has to offer. :)

What I don’t get is why is it also happening like 30 mins before I also leave from work... I would understand if it only happened before I go to work, but why is it happening also when I’m about to leave...
It’s like my mind has a problem with me moving from one place to another !

I'm exactly the same!! It used to be worse. I'd spend hours fretting about going to work. Nowadays, I'm able to delay the panic so that it only happens as I'm about to leave. My mind resists me going from one place to another, too. I can definitely, 100% relate to how you feel!!
