Everytime my partner goes out, I become extremely anxious and suffer panic attacks. This has happened for the fill four years we've been together and is just one symptom of my GAD. My question is this, does anyone have any tips for managing compulsive thoughts or behaviors? For example, when he is out I text him and if he doesn't reply within an hour, I text again. This gets gradually more frequent until eventually I begin ringing him. Obviously, this has an impact on his ability to relax and enjoy himself and has a knock on effect on our relationship. Despite all this, once I have the thought in my head to text or ring, I have to do it. I used to avoid it by going for a walk and leaving my phone at home but we have a baby now so this isn't possible.
