Can you get botulism this way

Tonight I drank a little bit of chocolate rum that I got from St Maarten last summer on my cruise, the plastic bottle was unopened. Did I just make a serious mistake by doing that? Was it safe to drink? Please help me

I don’t think bacteria can live in alcohol. Rum sometimes ages for years before it’s consumed. It’s safe.
