Hi All,
I'm new to this forum but have read previous threads relating to Globus. Ive been suffering with this for over a year now. Also, I suffered with sudden sensorial hearing loss last May which resulted in me losing my hearing in my right ear, which didn't help the Globus!
I've had a ct scan etc which was all clear. I really did think I had the globus under control but have had extra symptoms for the last 10 days.feel like I'm going to swallow my tongue and it doesn't feel comfortable in my mouth and it feels tense which results in jaw ache. Also experience a lot of neck tension.
I went to see my ENT specialist today and he said the throat etc looks fine but my tongue was trembling when he looked at it. He wants to refer me to a neurologist to be on the safe side but as I suffer from anxiety I'm cared what it might be.
Has anyone else suffered like this as a result of their globus?

I don't have globus, but I've had an occasional tremmor in my tongue for the last 8 years. It began after an intensely stressful, traumatic, and sleep-deprived 2.5 years as a caregiver for my Dad, and as a grad student at the same time. My nerves were shot after that experience and haven't recovered.

Definitely see your neurologist just to be on the safe side, but in your gut, do you think it's also possible this could be caused by stress and anxiety?
