I been getting a mild discomfort on my lower left side for the past 7 months, tried drinking lots of water, eat less fatty food and drink less milk, but still it won't go away.

Walking helps, doing physical activity thst keeps my mind off it reduces it, going to empty bowels help for a while, strange thing is, the pain moves down to the leg when I stand up..

Sometimes I get bad cramps that go to the groin, I don't get blood in stools, but I've had a few before, just a tiny bit.

Went to the doctor about it, he had did some physical tests, did a urine sample and blood test, both were all normal.

He told me if it's normal then there isn't much to worry about.

Since I've had a blood test, I am all clear for anything serious?
(Can't help but think there is something)

It's hard to tell if this is health anxiety or related to anxiety or something else.
I tried to stop thinking about it, but my mind automatically thinks about it, like checking if it's still there, and that's enough to feel it.

I don't know if this could be IBS, but the symptoms are similar to what other IBS sufferers have.
Would I make things worse if I try IBS releif tablets OTC like Buscapan to see if it helps?

I read something about peppermint tea, has anyone tried it? I also have problems with acid reflux so unsure if it will go worse.

I have IBS and posted about similar symptoms just the other day. What your experiencing is most likely IBS if its not a product of your anxiety. IBS is most commonly felt in the lower left abdomen and is relieved by excersize and emptying your bowels. The feeling of pain moving to your leg and when your stand and your groin is probably a case of referred pain from your bowels I get it too. Your doc knows best and he'd be able to see if it was anything sinister especially with a blood test.
Taking OTC IBS meds shouldn't cause any issues but be sure to tell the chemist any other meds your taking just in case.

I hope you can get better soon! c:

I'm having some sort of pain/discomfort (pain seems too strong a word to use..) constantly in my lower left side. About where the bowel turns into the centre?

I also went to doctors a few times. First one said it was probably just IBS and gave me blood tests/urine tests.

They came back fine but I went back feeling...less than happy with that answer and the next doctor shrugged and referred me to a specialist (for presumably a colonoscopy..ace)

Does it ever feel like a burning sensation inside? My discomfort stays in the same place but the burning seems to spread up to my ribs or down to my groin/inner thigh. seems worse if I'm sat/scrunched up.

I think IBS medication seems to be a bit of a gamble. The first doctor gave me some mebeverine which did next to nothing. I got bored of no results after 3 weeks and bought some buscopan, unfortunately thats not touching it either. maybe you will have better results. Peppermint tea I've not personally tried but I had some entric coated peppermint tablets and they made me feel a bit off, they kept repeating on me, least I had minty fresh burps. Not sure if tea would be different!

Does it stress you out? I know I've had it so long now its basically the only thing on my mind, every single second I'm awake I'm googling about cancer and things. I'm sure whatever I've got is being made much worse by stress and I'm getting myself into a right state over it with HA.

Yeah sometimes a burning sensation, or that feeling you want to rub it. It does stress me out a little, but it's more of an annoyance.
