Coughing up Bloody mucus

I had a flu and i'm slowly recovering- I mainly just have a cough now that I think is breaking. Why I'm worried is because I cough up mucus and when I did once there were some streaks of blood in it- not a lot just a little. Now I am afraid to cough up any more mucus. Also I have been sweating at night- not where everything is soaking wet, just where my pillow is lightly damp- I think this is me just flushing the flue out I hope. Is this normal do you think?

Could be a pneumonia, I would get it checked. You might need a round of antibiotics. If it is just streaks, it could be the onset and not full blown yet. Nip it in the bud and you will be fine. Hope you feel better quick.

Yes I agree, often you get this as the virus is subsiding rather than at the height of it, not a problem :)

THis just happened today me. I just got a chest X-ray and it was all clear, thanks goodness.
