Weight loss after stopping Dosulepin

Has anyone else lost weight after stopping the antidepressant dosulepin? I took it for years then gradually stopped last June. I coped with the immediate withdrawal symptoms reasonably well, but have two problems; increased anxiety, which I understand, and weight loss which I did not expect. I'be lost 2 stone since June. I did put weight on while taking dosulepin.

Weight gain is a common side effect of psychotropics. It's just common sense that stopping them would result in losing some of the weight you gained :shrug:

Antidepressants can alter metabolism, appetite and cause water retention. Losing weight without really changing diet is common. I lost close to a stone in weight when I stopped my long-term AD. Unfortunately, I'm back on it - and so is the weight :lac:
