Private psychiatric services in the UK

I am wanting to ask about people's experiences with private psychiatrists in the UK. I am fed up with the terrible NHS services in the area that I am, and I have no option to move or seek other NHS services locally.

Before I go on, I would like to know where I should be posting this thread, as am a little unsure where the topic falls into

Hi M1 you may be able to access private psychiatrist through the NHS (not 100% sure) I know with other treatments none MH related this is possible like in my case I have been given private urology via NHS funding so I wont have to pay, so it's worth looking at. Prehaps NHS Choices can advise you on this. but it's worth looking at as you never know. let us know how you get on :) ATB
