My heart rate often fluctuates.

For example, walking from the train station to my office gets it up to 110bpm.

Sitting at my desk it’ll vary between 65-80.

Being at home in the evening 65-70.

In bed before I sleep maybe 57-65.

And 55+ when sleeping.

Are such variations normal?

Yup

And, as a side note, on the lower side of normal, which is a good thing.

As a matter of fact those are basically identical to my heart rates. 36y/m/no risk factors but not athletic.

I had gotten worried about the ups of simple walking and the down below 60 when at rest, but cardiologist and GP confirmed to me these heart rates are nothing to worry about.
