Power of anxiety or not

I have a cyst in my calf which an ultrasound revealed as likely a hematoma due to an injury. I never had symptoms until I felt it. Ever since I felt it I have had periodic tingling, pulsing and zaps in that area and down my leg. Does anyone know if anxiety can actually target a specific area like this? My right calf does not have these sensations. I am waiting for an mri to get a definitive answer but these sensations occasionally get me back in a negative loop.
