For quite some time now (approx 3 months) I have had throat pains around thyroid area/Adams Apple. It's not your typical sore throat from a cold, it's like a pulling sensation when I swallow. All my symptoms are as follows;
- throat pain as mentioned
- stinging soft palate in the morning
- heartburn
- nasal congestion (almost impossible to clear)
- cough that really hurts thyroid area
- wheezing from throat
- itchy torso area when coughing spells happen, itching is under skin and is not helped by actually scratching. No rash.
- cloudy white coloured mucus from cough
- slight swelling above right cheekbone, approx 1 inch from corner of eye (I can't see this myself really, other people comment on this one though).
- watery eyes.
- Headaches at back of head, radiating from where neck meets skull.
- fatigue
I'm not sure whether all symptoms are related. They seem to lean toward post nasal drip and/or GERD/LPR but they are still worrying.
